BOTOX®
Indications
Aging changes around the eyes specifically crows feet and frown lines, occasionally for neck bands.
Procedure
The technique involves injection of Botulina Type A Toxin (BOTOX®) into the over active muscles causing a temporary paralysis minimizing the active lines. The most common areas treated by Botox® are the forehead and crow’s feet and the improvement lasts 3-6 months. Patient satisfaction is high and complications are practically non-existent!
Location
Botox® is administered at our office with a local anesthesia. We have offices conveniently located in Latham and Schenectady- both within minutes of Albany, NY.
Trade offs
Some side effects of Botox® are mild, temporary discomfort of the injections site, bruising, and swelling.
Risks
On a rare occasion after Botox® there is temporary difficulty fully opening the eye, but this is extremely rare.
Recovery
After a Botox® treatment, patients usually continue with their normal routine. Some make-up may be required to cover any redness or bruising. Botox® effects are temporary, lasting 3-6 months.
